Married, four kids. I haven't done much competitive running until recently. I did run track one year - but did long jump and pole vault. I played football in college. The last few years I have done a few triathlons, but I wasn't very fast.

Holy smokes, that was the all-time best run of my life. I tried to hang on to Clyde and Logan as long as possible, but their pace just kept mercilessly increasing. Those guys are freaking awesome.

Anyhow, I averaged 6:42 per mile for the 16? miles (on the sgm course) which absolutely crushes any pace for any run over 10 miles in my entire life. (I think it was about 16, I don't have my garmin with me). My previous best pace for a long run was 6:58. The last two miles I ran with Clyde and Logan were sub-6 pace. For me, that is wicked fast.

So, feeling sore yes, but I am now definitely going to try for a 2:59 marathon now. It will be tough, but I actually think it's possible for me.

I love running with those guys - but I worry that I am just dead weight, you know. Like an energy-drainer for them. I don't help set the pace, and I can hardly breathe enough to add anything to the conversation.

I am feeling a little plantar fasciitis in my left foot. Not bad, but it has been a problem in the past.

Don't worry your not dead weight. We enjoy having you along and great job again. I was floored when I started back up the course and you were right there.

Watch that foot man! You need to be 100% on race day... and a 2:50 is so doable.
